Spring Edition – April 2023

Time Bound:

$1000 – High School Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any students who graduate(d) or earn(ed) a GED not sponsored by NCC between 12/31/2022 – 9/30/2023 who enroll and start in any program between 1/1/2023 and 9/30/2023.

$2500 – Inaugural Criminal Justice Professional Scholarship

In an effort to encourage enrollment into the Criminal Justice Professional program at NCC, this scholarship has been designed to allow students to complete the Criminal Justice Professional program at a reduced price. This scholarship is available for the 4/10/2023 start date only.

$1000 – Halfway to a Degree Scholarship

In an effort to support NCC graduates in their pursuit of higher education, NCC has created a Halfway to a Degree Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to increase accessibility of post-secondary education and decrease out of pocket costs for students who enroll in an administrative program at NCC. This scholarship is only available for the 5/8/2023 and 6/5/2023 start dates.

$1000 – 25 Year Scholarship

In order to support the financial needs of our students and celebrate the 25 year history of NCC, the 25 Year Anniversary Scholarship was created! This scholarship is designed to increase accessibility of post-secondary education and decrease out of pocket costs for students enrolling at Northwest Career College in the school’s 25th year of changing lives! Scholarships are awarded using a raffle system on the day of orientation.

Non-Time Bound:

$1000 – All in The Family Scholarship

In an effort to support members of the NCC community who refer their family members, NCC has created the All in The Family Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to increase accessibility of post-secondary education and decrease out of pocket costs for this population of individuals.

$2500 – Alumni Scholarship

This scholarship/credit combination is available to any NCC alumnus who enrolls in an additional program of study at NCC after two years from their graduation date.

$1725 – Business Administrative Assistant to Business Administration Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any alumnus of NCC’s Business Administrative Assistant program who enrolls and matriculates into NCC’s Business Administration program.

$1725 – Dental Assistant + Dental Admin Assistant to Healthcare Administration Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any alumnus of NCC’s Dental Assistant Diploma and Dental Administrative Assistant Certificate program who enrolls and matriculates into NCC’s Healthcare Administration program.

$4499 – Expanded Dreamers Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any student who is currently residing in the United States under the DREAM Act or facing any other citizenship barriers. Please note: any student who is attempting to qualify for the Dreamers Scholarship must be able to provide documentation to substantiate their status.

$2000 – Preferred Partner Scholarship

To recognize the partnership between Northwest Career College and its External Partners, NCC has created the Preferred Partner Scholarship that is available to all prospective students who were referred by a registered Preferred Partner. The Preferred Partner Scholarship is not combinable with other scholarships.

$2500 – First Responder, Law Enforcement, & Security Personnel Scholarship

To support members of law enforcement, first responders, security personnel, and their families in their pursuit of higher education, NCC has created a First Responder and Law Enforcement Scholarship that is available to all prospective students enrolling in an Associates or Diploma level program with qualifying work experience.

$2500 - Early Independence Scholarship

To support students in their pursuit of higher education, NCC has created the Early Independence Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to increase accessibility of post-secondary education and decrease out of pocket costs for students who qualify for a dependency override.

$1725 – Legal Assistant to Paralegal Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any alumnus of NCC’s Legal Assistant program who enrolls and matriculates into NCC’s Paralegal Studies program.

$1725 – Medical Billing and Coding to Healthcare Administration Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any alumnus of NCC’s Medical Billing and Coding program who enrolls and matriculates into NCC’s Healthcare Administration program.

$1725 – Medical/Dental Administrative Assistant to Healthcare Administration Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any alumnus of NCC’s Medical Administrative Assistant or Dental Administrative Assistant program who enrolls and matriculates into NCC’s Healthcare Administration program.

$2300 – Medical/Dental Assistant to Healthcare Administration Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any alumnus of NCC’s Medical Assistant or Dental Assistant program who enrolls and matriculates into NCC’s Healthcare Administration program.

$1000 – Previous NCC Graduate Enrolling in a Certificate Program Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any students who graduated from an NCC program in the past and is attempting to complete a certificate program at NCC.

$500 – Sponsor a Student Scholarship

This scholarship is available for any alumnus or employee of NCC to award to one friend or family member to support lifelong learning.

$4000 – Recent Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship is available to any NCC alumnus who enrolls in an additional program of study at NCC within two years from their graduation date.

$500 – Tuition Commitment Scholarship

To support students who are paying their full tuition cost in full in one payment prior to matriculation, NCC has designed this scholarship to help offset the financial burden on the student.

Active Credits:

$1700 – Previous Education Credit

This credit is available for any students who:

  • Attended a medical training program within the last 5 years and took courses in Anatomy, Physiology, or some other form of medical preparation.
  • Attended NCC in the past 5 years but did not graduate.
  • MOS101 is excluded.
  • AAS programs do not qualify for this scholarship.

Please note: Any student who is attempting to qualify for this credit must be able to provide documentation in the form of a transcript to substantiate this request. This credit is available for all programs besides the Phlebotomy Technician program. This credit also cannot be combined with the Alumni Scholarship or the Recent Graduate Scholarship.

“Stackability” Of Scholarships

Nearly all of the above-listed scholarships are combinable, meaning that a student can utilize more than one of these scholarships/credits per enrollment. However, each program offered at NCC has an established, maximum institutional scholarship amount awarded. This amount is determined by the program credential awarded. Please see the below maximum institutional scholarship amount awarded broken down by program credential:

  • Certificate – $1625
  • Diploma – $4625
  • Associate – $5999

Phlebotomy Technician Program Scholarship/Credit Eligibility

The only credit or scholarship that Phlebotomy Technician students are eligible for is Previous NCC Graduate Enrolling in a Certificate Program Scholarship.
